Clara Mōr · Compositions

Misma sangre

Two canvases, one black and one yellow, meet in a shared circular composition. Clara dedicates this work to the bond between her brother’s children and the family roots that unite them: two different ways of being that belong to the same story.

Each canvas is an independent piece. In your enquiry, you can tell me which of those shown in the photograph interests you.

The story, in Clara’s words

Some bonds go far beyond sharing the same story.

This work was inspired by my brother’s children, Zoe and Héctor, two children united by the same person: my brother, my other half.

Two lives, two worlds, two ways of being… represented in two different halves that, when they meet, form a single piece.

And at the centre, what unites them. The same roots. The same blood. The same family.

Perhaps that is why this work is so special to me. Because it speaks of them, but also of my brother, of the bond he has created between them and of that invisible thread that means, however different our paths may be, we still belong to the same place.

“Misma sangre”

Because we can be different on the outside, have different colours and write our own story… but some roots will always unite us.
